Parkinson’s Law: Your creative work will shrink or grow to fit the time allotted for its completion…so, how does 12 weeks sound?
The 12-Week “Creative Incubator” Program
A 3-month creative sprint!
Accountability and Deadlines and Shares for Feedback (“…oh my!”)
1 Goal. 4 Peers. 12 Weeks. Let’s do this.
Are You Looking for…
Motivation to finish that project?
Deadlines to help you get it all done?
Accountability outside your own capabilities alone?
A Roadmap to reach your goals?
A consistent group of people who understand you, your project, and your goals?
Then this group program is for you!
Your Goal is Our Goal
You will set a goal to work diligently toward across 12 weeks, and the group will offer feedback, provide accountability, hold you to deadlines, and help you get there.
“Accomplish your goals in a small-group, high-productivity, and judgement-free zone.”
The “Creative Incubator” program has no set schedule, but will instead run throughout the year when a group of 4 motivated individuals can be paired with a facilitator for a 3-month block.
The Structure:
Prior to the first group session, every participant will create their 12-Week Goals Roadmap, breaking down the three months into weekly mini-goals as the foundation for the road ahead.
Weekly sessions will be up to 2 hours - including an introductory moment, two 45-minute share sessions, and a closing moment - and take place via Zoom. Recordings will not be made by the facilitator, but participants may choose to record their individual sessions or simply take notes.
Your 45-minute Share Times Will Include:
An accountability check-in with your planned deadline.
The ability to set or adjust goals for the next share.
A material share of your work following the Feedback Process.
A safe, intimate, and judgement-free environment in which to receive constructive feedback.
During the Sessions You Will Have:
Feedback from both the facilitator and your peers.
The opportunity to learn from the work, goals, and processes of your peers.
The ability to deepen understanding of your own work through providing feedback for others.
A chat space for online communication throughout the program, to celebrate wins and gather advice from the group.
Access to the Musical Theatre Writing Collective online community hub for the duration of the program. (if not already a member)
Newly accomplished goals by the end of the 12 weeks!
